University of Florida Online Entomology & Nematology Undergraduate Certificates
UF offers fully online undergraduate certificates:
Contact an advisor at distance.ed@ifas.ufl.edu to discuss your academic background prior to submitting an application.
To earn a certificate, students must successfully complete all required courses with a grade of C or higher and pass a final exam. Upon completion, a certificate will be issued as official recognition of program achievement.
Built for flexibility, these programs allow you to enroll year-round, study entirely online, and set your own pace. Most students complete their certificate in 12–18 months, but you’ll have up to seven years to finish, offering the option to pause and resume as needed.
Online Labs
All courses, including those with lab components, can be completed online. If insect collection is required, you can purchase a supply kit or create one at home with our step-by-step guide. Labs using simulations rely on free online software — no travel necessary.
