Kay works for the University of Florida department of Entomology and Nematology and Dr. Amanda Hodges.
Kay earned her Associates of Science degree in Graphic Design Technology and an Associates of Art degree, from Santa Fe College, Gainesville, Florida.
Kay has a diverse background in the graphics fields, with a strong history in the Printing Industry serving as the Graphics/Imagesetting Department manager for Beechler’s Printing for many years before moving on to Santa Fe College’s department of News and Publications as Assistant Graphic Design Coordinator.
In her current position at the Entomology Department, Kay’s responsibilities include web design, development and maintenance, illustration, brochure and poster design, logo creation, social media, photography, banner display design and an ever expanding range of other graphically related duties.
Software expertise includes Adobe Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and PowerPoint; with experience in many others.
Other interests include: organic gardening, essential oils, volunteering and home canning.
