This family has two subfamilies present in our area, the Andreninae and the Panurginae. In the Andrenidae, only the genus Andrena is found in Florida. In the Panurginae, three genera, Perdita, Protandrena, and Pseudopanurgus, are found in Florida, and a fourth, Calliopsis, may be present in the northern counties of the peninsula and panhandle.
