Map showing some of the places in the U.S. where a subspecies of Phaneroptera nana has been introduced.
Dots show county records; shaded area shows likely general distribution.
Both of the Florida records are from Brandon Woo. The one for Highlands County is explained in the nth paragraph under the images on 024a.htm. The one for central Palm Beach County is for a female, making it of little value in deciding whether it is of the same deme as the Archbold specimen. Favoring the hypothesis that it is of the same deme as the Archbold specimen is its proximity to the Archbold station and the likelihood that its deme is adapted to south Florida conditions. Brandon Woo, who collected and photographed the Archbold specimen, is responsible for finding and identifying the iNaturalist image that documents this record.
