Graduate students in the Miller Lab
![]() Wendy joins the Miller Lab (on an UF Alumni Fellowship) after completing ten years of teaching middle and high school science courses. A perennial college student and lifelong learner, Wendy previously attended the University of Florida and earned the following degrees: B. S. in Zoology, M. Ed. in Science Education, M. S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, Ed. S. in Special Education. Her research interests include ecology, evolution, and behavior. She is currently working on variability in mate-choice behaviors in squash bugs, Anasa spp. |
Lisa Pytka comes to the Miller Lab after a wealth of experience working on cognition and behavior in primates and other mammals. She most recently was involved in running Dr. Marc Hauser’s Cognitive Evolution Laboratory in Harvard University’s psychology department. Her undergraduate degree is from the New College of Florida (B.A. Biological psychology). In the Miller Lab she will be working on an NSF-funded project on the role of environmental heterogeneity on the processes and outcomes of sexual selection. She is primarily interested in the role of ecological pressures in the evolution of memory and cognition. Welcome, Lisa! |
