    Services & Prices

    The Insect ID Lab provides insect, mite, tick, spider, and other arthropod identification services for Florida residents. We can provide tentative diagnostic services via email, but cannot guarantee accuracy of identification based solely on photos or descriptions. Once arthropod samples or photos have been received, Insect ID Lab personnel will process and identify them. Clients will be sent a comprehensive diagnostic report associated with each submitted sample.

    Payment is due before reports can be provided.

    Arthropod identification -
    $15 / sample and free for Florida Cooperative Extension Agents.

    Tentative identification of arthropod photographs - Free

    Payment can be made via:

    • Check or money order payable to the University of Florida and included in package.
    • Credit card. You will be emailed a payment link upon Lab receipt of your sample.
    • Google Pay. You will be emailed a payment link upon Lab receipt of your sample.
