Talk and article on how two societies have profited by offering immediate free Web access (IFWA) to journal articles.

T. J. Walker, University of Florida (spring 2002)

The talk was prepared for the 18th International Learned Journals Seminar, held 12 April 2002, in London, by the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers [ALPSP]. The seminar was entitled "We can't go on like this: the future of journals." My presentation was the last of four talks in a portion of the seminar that dealt with alternative business models.
