Mentoring

I am passionate about student-centered research, in and out of the classroom. I am a better and more productive researcher when I am mentoring students, because I get so much fulfillment from mentoring. I have mentored 25 undergraduates in one-on-one research experiences, of which six have presented at national meetings, three are co-authors on manuscripts in preparation, and 22 are pursuing careers in STEM disciplines. Of these 25 students, 16 are female and eight belong to minority groups underrepresented in science.
