Research Responsibilities

  • Develop and investigate new technologies for management of cockroaches and fleas.
  • Primary emphasis is on reduction of pesticide usage in urban environments through development of bait, IGR and biological controls.
  • Study biological factors of these pests that affect growth and development.

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Teach ENY 5222 and ENY 3222, Biology and Identification of Urban Pests
  • Teach ENY 5224 and ENY 3224, Principles of Urban Pest Management

Extension Responsibilities

  • Develop educational materials and programs in urban, livestock, and poultry pest management.
  • Primary emphasis has been on education of the Pest Control Industry in Florida and the United States. Methods have been to develop books, fact sheets, and computerized instruction in Urban Pest Management.
