greater angle-wing katydid
Microcentrum rhombifolium

Recently hatched juvenile next to millimeter scale.
Microcentrum rhombifolium and M. retinerve are similar species and, presumably, have similar eggs and hatchlings.
The identification of this juvenile is based on it hatching from eggs found south of the known range of M. retinerve
(Highlands Hammock State Park in Highlands County, Florida) on the leaf of an understory plant,
below the canopy where M. retinerve normally dwells.
