Jeanette joined the HBREL in March, 2009, and currently is a full-time technician as well as HBREL's laboratory manager. She manages undergraduate students and volunteers, assists with graduate student projects, coordinates/executes research projects, purchasing, lab/truck safety, and assists in the care of HBREL's bee colonies. She also runs HBREL's extension programs including Bee College ("regular", South Florida, and Caribbean), edits/publishes EDIS documents, produces and edits the "Melitto Files", and oversees the Master Beekeeper Program and the Welsh Honey Judge Program.

Jeanette graduated from SUNY Oswego with a B.S. in Zoology in 2003, and received a M.S. in Environmental Studies from The College of Charleston in 2005. She has been a research technician for Hollings Marine Laboratory (NOAA) in South Carolina, Cornell Marine Program in RiverHead, New York, and The Bureau of Land Management in Grand Junction Colorado.
