We use a combination of physiological, biochemical, and evolutionary ecology approaches to understand fundamental questions in insect biology.

• Regulation of metabolism and nutrient allocation
• Insects as model systems to study the physiology human diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and infertility
• Physiology and genetics of seasonal adaptation
