ALS 3203 - PC USE IN AGRICULTURE-A Distance Education Course

Desk top

Instructor: Dr. Paul M. Choate: This is an online course, so there are no office hours. You may contact the instuctor via email concerning personal issues.

This is the opening page for ALS 3203, a web-based online class. DO USE ANY PREVIOUSLY BOOKMARKED PAGES FOR THIS CLASS!. They will lead you to outdated files!

NOTE: This is NOT a WebCT course, nor a SAKAI course, nor will it be found in your e-learning.

- This course uses the +/- grading system.

By the end of the first calendar week of classes be sure to have signed up for the class list-serv, obtain a GatorLink email account, if you do not already have one, and also fill out the student responsibility form (you receive points for doing these). Due to the large number of enrolled students it is not feasible to post repeated emails to those that have not signed up by the end of the first week of classes. DO NOT ATTEMPT the first lesson until the end of the first calendar week, when all students should have signed up for the list-serv. When you work on a lesson, be sure to read the instructions and follow directions. Do not post any questions to the list-serv until next week.

In the past this course consisted of primarily PC users. Now it is split almost 50/50 between PC users and Macintosh users. As a result some of the lessons are bing modified to address this situation. I will announce in each lesson if there are portions that are inappropriate for Macintosh users. Otherwise you will be expected to complete each lesson, regardless of your operating systems.
