3. Research Responsibilities
- I do research on pests insects in sugarcane, rice, and turf
in southern Florida. This research involves studies on control
methods, sampling methods, seasonal population dynamics, and spatial
distribution of these pests.
4. Accomplishments
- My research on insect pests of rice and sugarcane has lead
to improved control of these pests. This improved control has lead
to financial savings by growers via reduced insecticide use.Simultaneously,
this reduced insecticide use reduces pesticides in the Everglades
environment.
