_______ 12. Supervisory Committee Set-up no later than end of second semester or records will be flagged. Forms in Room 1028
_______ 13. Ph.D. Students: For Possible Transfer of 30 Credits from M.S. degree Must be done the first semester enrolled. See Debbie or Graduate Coordinator
_______ 14. Program of Study (Form 2) Meet with Supervisory Committee to complete no later than end of second semester or records will be flagged. Forms in Room 1028
_______ 15. Research Proposal Submit to Supervisory Committee first or second semester enrolled. Give dated and signed copy to Debbie for student file.
_______ 16. Letters of Appointment and Evaluation Prior to the end of each semester. Student and committee chair must sign and return forms to the departmental business office, Room 1021.
_______ 17. Ph.D. Qualifying Exam; Written and Oral Should be taken the third semester of graduate study beyond M. S. Arrange with Graduate Coordinator and Supervisory Committee as early as possible. Give Debbie title, date, and time at least 15 days prior to date.
_______ 18. Admission to Candidacy for Ph. D. Form submitted to Graduate School upon satisfactory completion of oral Qualifying Exam
_______ 19. Registration for Doctoral Research ENY 7980 or NEM 7980 may be used only after Qualifying Exam has been passed
_______ 20. Formatting of Thesis and Dissertation On the web at: http://gradschool.rgp.ufl.edu/etd
_______ 21. Application for Degree Check degree application deadline. Must apply for degree each term you expect to graduate.
_______ 22. First submission of Thesis or Dissertation to the Graduate School See "DEADLINES" for each submission of your thesis or dissertation. See Debbie in Room 1028.
_______ 23. Dissertation Defense and M.S. Final Exam Arrange date with all committee members and the Graduate Coordinator as early as possible. Give the title, date, time, and room number to Debbie at least 15 days prior to defense.
_______ 24. Exit Seminar: Required of all M.S. with thesis candidates and all Ph.D. candidates. Given the term of graduation prior to final exam. Reserve room with Debbie, Room 1028.
_______ 25. M.S. Non-Thesis Oral Exam See Debbie for room assignment and preparation of written announcement. Clear date with Supervisory Committee and Graduate Coordinator.
_______ 26. Final Copy of Thesis or Dissertation Provide Graduate Coordinator's office with a copy of thesis or dissertation prior to graduation.
_______ 27. Exit Interview with Department Chairperson Prior to graduation. Call 392-1901 ext. 110 or 117 for an appointment.
_______ 28. Final Submission Signature, Associate Dean, CALS Prior to graduation. Call 392-2251 for appointment.
_______ 39. *Return all items checked out of Stockroom As soon as possible, to Stockroom, Room 2326
_______ 30. *Return all keys issued by the Department As soon as possible, to Myrna, Room 1018
*Return of Stockroom items and keys will be verified before departmental certification of degree.
