2002                University Scholars Program Internship to study Glassy-winged sharpshooter, Homalodisca coagulata, pathology.

2001-2002       Research assistantship under Laura Sirot (lsirot@zoo.ufl.edu). Maintained colony of Melanoplus spp. grasshoppers for research on sexual behavior.

1999                NASA Sharp Plus program apprentice at University of Alabama at Birmingham. Studied die-off rates of E. Coli in sewage and distilled water.
