3. Responsibilities:
- Research and teaching in insect biochemistry, physiology and molecular
biology of hormonal control of insects. Specifically, to use molecular and
bioengineering approaches that have a potential in developing new biorational
insecticides that can be expressed in algae, bacteria, yeast and plant cells
and viruses. These novel approaches are used to control mosquito larvae,
as well as, agricultural pest insects, and provide foundation for future
insect control.
