Research Responsibilities

Research areas include trapping and detection studies for the Caribbean Fruit Fly, Anastrepha suspensa; developing management strategies for the melon thrips,Thrips palmi; foreign exploration for biocontrol agents for Thrips palmi; and a faunistic study of the Lygaeidae of the West Indies.
Extension responsibilities - identification of insect pests submitted to the Diagnostics Laboratory.
