2. Employment:
- Professor and Director (1992-present) Florida Medical Entomology
Laboratory University of Florida
- Professor and Director (1979-1982) International Health Program,
University of Maryland School of Medicine

3. Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and assist FMEL faculty to develop and
implement research programs of national excellence as well as
seek federal and/or private funds to supplement the budget provided
by the state of Florida.
- Moreover, provide leadership in keeping the various mosquito
and biting fly control agencies in the State informed of research
findings and programs at the Laboratory. Other administrative
duties involve preparing budget requests, allocating operating
funds and maintaining the grounds and buildings.
4. Accomplishments:
- The FMEL continues to be an renowned international center
for research, extension, and training in medical entomology specializing
in mosquitoes and sandflies and their environment. Nearly all
faculty are hard working, have creative ideas, publish papers,
organize conferences and workshops, and all have been successful
in obtaining grants and contracts in the past. Primary goal is
to facilitate the faculty in
- reaching their research, extension, and teaching goals. I
try to make their job uncomplicated, provide an excellent working
environment and physical plant, and communicate with mosquito
control and environmental agencies.
5. Grants and Contracts:
- ($109,310 total costs, 1989-1994)
- PI - Educational and Informational Resource Materials for
Florida Mosquito Control Agencies. HRS

- Refereed papers: 95
- Chapters in books: 5
- Miscellaneous papers: 10
