The African Honey Bee Extension & Education Program (AFBEE) is an extension and education cooperation between the University of Florida and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Plant Industry geared toward producing and distributing information about the African honey bee in Florida. We appreciate your patience as the site is being frequently updated.
4th Annual Bee College Scheduled for March 11-12, 2011 in St. Augustine, FL
Dr. Bill Kern will again teach African Bee training for pest control operators. Also, FABIS training will again be offered for those interested. FABIS is the current method of detecting levels of Africanization in wild bee colonies.
